As a disclaimer, bet at your own risk, I make no guarantees of accuracy or profit, these are simply my picks and my opinion, yada yada yada, legalese.
Not to brag, but I was half an Oregon point from hitting one of my parlays and 15 net-Georgia points from hitting both this past weekend. 6-2. We were so close to perfect. Instead, I walked away down ten bucks. Whatever. You have to get warm before you get hot. Let’s get this bread.
Penn State (+175) at THE Ohio State University
This is going to be the first time since 2016 Penn State beats Ohio State. They really have something cooking in Happy Valley this season, besides Jerry Sandusky burning in hell. Most football fans probably have no idea that PSU has the number one total defense in the FBS right now. Also, Ohio State’s offense is extremely mid this season for a team of its caliber. That wouldn’t be a problem if Ryan Day teams weren’t completely offense-dependent. Ohio State is losing to Penn State and Michigan this season and Day will finish the season on a nuclear-hot seat.
Tennessee +9.5 at Alabama (-120)
Jaden Milroe isn’t good, but Joe Milton is even worse. Still, I’m not entirely sold on this big Alabama revenge game people are talking about. The “Alabama is mad, watch out” talking point is so lazy it wouldn’t even sniff Alabama’s practice squad. I think Tennessee has shown itself to be a solid team so far, and will likely be finishing in the top 3 in the SEC East, while Bama just doesn’t have the juice it used to. Alabama likely winning a close one, but I just don’t trust Bama to run away with it.
Utah +7.5 at USC (-120)
Kyle Whittingham has Lincoln Riley’s number. It’s like the Mark Stoops-Dan Mullen dynamic when Mullen was at UF. The smart money was always on Stoops in those matchups. USC arguably has a worse defense than they did last season, and Utah is still a solid team. USC is on upset alert, again. At best, they win a close one.
Wazzou at Oregon, over 60.5 (-110)
These are two high-flying offenses in the PAC12, with Dan Lanning trying to get his team to bounce back from a tough loss at Washington. Lanning is telling his OC to go all gas, no brakes, and expect Wazzou to score a couple TDs as well. Feels like a 52-14 game.
